Time for education

So , I have been on this study since the beginning of 2015, soon as my youngest was born. I started first by watching youtube videos , and than opening an account for demo, and soon after dumping 100$ bucks into a real account, only to lose more than half and realize I have no clue what I am doing. I mean, buy low sell high, right? wrong! so much more than that, and it all starts with greed and lust for money.

Anyways, I had researched education right off the bat. I had come across some really great resources such as forexpeacarmy.com which than led me to babypips.com , both of which are really great peices of work.

Just five days ago, I dropped a savings of $600 into a educational course, which I have quickly realized something I always wondering but wasn’t sure of : I do know what I am doing, I just haven’t practiced enough, or practiced right ( meaning , knowing what to do to be effective, but instead doing the exact opposite ). These last six weeks have been the first time I have practiced right: sticking to the rules, acting on logic and not impulse, etc,….

I mean, they always say, the only reason %5 or less of traders succeed is because of mental aptitude, they arn’t joking. I have been doing this for nearly three years and for most of that time, I had only acted on impulse and a lust for money.

Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to be rich, but some extent , you have to wait. You must  be patient, and when you are sitting in front of a chart, you must not force the analysis . These last six weeks , I have made nearly ten trades, and only two of them were small losers, simply because I forced myself into it versus doing what I have done the other eight times which was map out, analysis, hold off until levels were hit . simple

It would seem, the less you focus, the better you become.

I have stopped telling people what I am doing, it isn’t important. I don’t want to brag, and trust me, bragging out loud does nothing for your inner mojo . There is a difference between positive affirmation and saying ” I am the best, I will be rich” to your co-worker ………..LOL

So here I am, taking this course, which has massive five star reviews on forex peace army, and has been around or a few years. And in every course, nothing is new to me. I have seen it, I have noted it, I just never had a name for it. Now I do. Most importantly, there is a community, and I think that is the most valuable part of it. I am doing what any good pupil would do, I am going through the material, taking the quizes, taking notes, retaking parts I do bad on the quiz, yada yada yada, because if there is one thing I have learned out of all of this most compounded in the last six weeks is, time is the only resource I have in learning this skill set.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend four sharpening the ax ” ~~ Abraham Lincoln

Somehow, I knew this was my calling. from the time my first was born, some thirteen years ago, I knew this is exactly what I wanted to do. And why? right??? I mean, it is probably the most boring-est thing in the world, and when my first was born, you couldn’t just go online and get a free demo account, you had to have 20k to put into an account first, just to demo! I had nothing to go on, and almost immediately gave up.

But it isn’t just the working from home aspect, or the not working very much that I like about it. It is the opportunity you can create to make more and more every year. The best part, would be having a retirement account and a short term account. It is all possible, anything is possible , if you just spend two thirds of your time sharpening the ax
